4 Qualities All Top Marketers Have

Published

on

In the fast-paced world of marketing, you
need to be on top of your game to see traction and drive results. The best
marketers in the world know how it important it is to maintain the following
four qualities.

Data
Driven

The best marketers are highly data-driven.
They know why and how to use data to make decisions, and how to maximize the
information they have to drive strategy and better results. The best marketers
have an understanding of major reporting platforms, such as Google Analytics
and Google Adwords, as well as other niche platforms for different channels,
like SEO, paid ads, social media and affiliate traffic. They know to look to
numbers to measure campaigns, and can use what they see to inform strategy.

A big mistake that many new marketers make
is choosing to make decisions based on a “gut feeling” – doing something, or
launching a campaign just because they want to. IF you follow this route, it’s
easy for self-bias to get in the way and cloud judgment. The only sound way to
make decisions as a marketer is to always be looking at and consulting with
data.

Agile

Another quality that top marketers possess
is that they are very agile.
They can launch campaigns, monitor results, and make decisions quickly if
something is not working on how to pivot and adapt. There are many external
factors that may dictate the need to be agile, such as change in Google’s
algorithm that impacts your search results, or a change in the Facebook News
Feed that affects your organic post visibility, so it’s crucial to stay on top
of these factors and be ready to change tactics as needed.

Top marketers are also to re-prioritize
ruthlessly. They will shift their focus from what was planned to what’s
important. Good marketers are able to rapidly change tactics and practice agile
marketing.

Always
Learning

The landscape of what’s working, what’s available,
and what’s new in marketing is always changing. This is why the best marketers
know that they need to constantly be learning and staying on top of major
trends in the marketing space. Marketing is easily one of the most fast-paced
industries out there, and if you fall behind, it’s easy to have your strategies
fall ineffective quickly.

Creative

At the end of the day, the best marketers
are highly creative people. You can follow other blueprints and use other
strategies, but you need to be able to come up with creative ideas on your own
to differentiate yourself from the crowd and build a unique presence.

If you truly want to know how
to be a good marketer
, it’s essential that you develop these
qualities. Follow the success tracks of those around you, but try new things as
well. Commit to learning and rely on data always. Be creative and don’t be
afraid to take risks – the biggest risks may result in the best successes. And
either way, you will always learn and grow as a result.

Support Legal launches Arabic ScaleUp platform for startups in the Middle East & Africa

Published

on

By

Support Legal, the Middle East and Africa’s first legal services platform for entrepreneurs and emerging companies, has made its free legal knowhow platform ‘ScaleUp’ available in Arabic.

Despite Arabic being the fourth most-used language online[i], it remains under-represented on the region’s most popular websites.

ScaleUp was developed to help entrepreneurs establish, fund and scale their businesses. The digital platform offers access to knowhow and practical advice, at no cost to the user. The Arabic portal has been added to give business owners in MEA the choice to access ScaleUp content in their native language.

Highlighting the importance Support Legal places on ensuring Arabic-speaking entrepreneurs have equal access to the legal knowledge necessary to launch and succeed, Hannah McKinlay, Principal and Head of Knowledge Management at Support Legal, said: “The UAE has the highest smartphone penetration in the world and Saudi Arabia is close behind yet most entrepreneurs don’t have access to much-needed business information in Arabic. Our mission is to break down barriers and increase access to knowledge for current and aspiring entrepreneurs. Business advice and know-how are just as important to a start-up as funding. We hope that providing entrepreneurs with access to the right resources, in their own language, will catalyse the region’s startup ecosystem.”

ScaleUp’s extensive library of go-to articles address every stage of the business lifecycle, from inception through to exit. Resources help answer common questions associated with agreements, funding, protection of ideas and the day-to-day running of a business. In line with Support Legal’s mission to empower the start-up community, increase transparency, and reduce barriers between entrepreneurs and legal professionals, no subscription or sign-up is required to access ScaleUp content.

“Governments across MEA are prioritising the acceleration of entrepreneurship as an engine for job creation and inclusive growth. In our dealings with businesses across the region, Arabic is often the preferred language for communication. Tools like ScaleUp Arabic can empower them with the knowledge they need to make the right decisions for the growth of their businesses,” added Ahmed Arif, Principal at Support Legal.

Support Legal is intent on partnering with businesses – particularly entrepreneurs and SMEs – helping to navigate essential legal and regulatory requirements for businesses to launch, grow and succeed. Access to advice and tips from senior lawyers with such extensive experience would prove otherwise unaffordable for start-ups. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi Global Market, it is the first legal services provider in the region to do away with billable hours entirely, understanding the disconnect between the way lawyers bill for their services and the way clients want to be billed.

Published

on

Infinix has announced the availability of their new smartphone, the HOT 7 . It comes hot on the heels of the previous announcement of the availability of the more expensive Infinix Hot 6.

The Infinix Hot 7 will come in two variants: a 16GB/1GB RAM/single camera variant which will retail for Kshs 9,999 and a 32GB/2GB/dual back camera variant that will retail for Kshs 10,999.

The Infinix HOT 7 has a 6.2 inch 720 by 1520 IPS display with a 19:5:9 ratio and a notch. It runs on the Mediatek MT6580 processor and runs on XOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The 16GB/1GB version is an Android Go edition which is a variant of Android that is built to run well on entry level phones like it.

One variant has a single 13MP camera at the back while the other one has a dual 13MP +2MP primary system. The 13MP primary camera has a wide f/1.8 aperture which means better low light photos. The selfie camera is an 8MP unit with a front LED flash for both units.

Both variants share a massive 4000mAh battery bank which is great since great battery life on a phone is crucial and we like to see this trend being the norm.

There is also face unlock and a fingerprint scanner to secure your phone. Infinix also boasts of their DIRAC mode which promises a powerful sound output when you play content with the phone.

The phone comes in a bunch of colours which includes Midnight Black, Cosmic Purple, Champagne Gold and Aqua Blue giving you more options for you to choose from.

If you are interested in these phones, check out the Infinix Hot 7 family of phones at their Infinix outlets countrywide or via their Infinix mall here.
